KUDOS from Kelly

Pinkie Nonhlanhla Mdletshe
Pinkie was only with our company for a short time when we placed her with a lovely lady, NC, who had been independent all her life. A teacher for decades, she had built a wonderful legacy of hundreds of happy successful adults who had been her former students.

NC wanted more than anything else to leave the nursing home and return to her lovely home. Alone. However, as much as she wanted to be totally independent, she was clearly in need of some assistance at home.

Enter the amazing Pinkie, who was patient with NC, and respectful of her needs to be as independent as possible. She continually balanced NC’s needs for safety with her insistence that she would be “fine on her own”. This can be a complicated task, helping a client maintain her dignity while also insuring she remains healthy, injury free and out of the hospital.

Early this year, Pinkie was very concerned about a worsening condition with NC. She eventually convinced her to be evaluated by a physician. After a short period of testing, NC was admitted to the hospital and successfully underwent surgery.

NC recovered from surgery well under Pinkie’s diligent, attentive care. Now they are back to normal, NC being treated to lunches out, regular visitors, some shopping trips, all under the watchful eye of her beloved Pinkie.

Thanks, Pinkie for all you do to help NC remain in the home she loves, and living a happy life!

TK Njapha
It seems there is always more caregiver and client support work where we require assistance on a daily basis. TK joined the company several months ago and has been fairly busy pitching in as hourly caregiver for new cases as well as for existing live in cases where the caregiver needed a break. She helps out in many other ways as transporting live in caregivers to and from cases, providing clients with rides when needed, and being an all around major helper. TK brings genuine joy and enthusiasm to all the clients and caregivers she meets.

She immediately befriends clients even on a short-term case and is generous in her support and caring. She is quickly becoming a favorite of many clients.

All caregivers mentioned in this column will receive a gift card and our sincere appreciation!  Many many thanks to all of you for once again extending yourselves to ensure that we are of course Always There…!!
