Unexpected Gratitude… The finest gift by far

Christmas always presents challenges to me. I need little in the way of gifts, Kelly wants nothing but contributions to causes important to her …. fighting animal cruelty, increasing awareness of food choices and effects on the environment, promoting veganism. She is easy to please and to have the opportunity to contribute to such organizations in need support is a truly worthwhile gift.

With so little shopping (other than for beloved grandchildren of course) I enjoy the season. But this year there were some unexpected heartwarming gifts in the form of expressions of sincere gratitude from our amazing, hard-working caregivers.

A few examples:

We are not like any other home care company. You care for and support us so we can do the same for our clients, thank you

Merry Christmas God bless you. You are the best boss I’ve ever worked with, I appreciate all you have done for me from the bottom of my heart

I cannot wait to work for you again

From my family to yours God bless you for all you do for all of us wishing you a happy, healthy and prosperous New year

‘Thank you for everything you do for me and my family

I really appreciate all you do every day for all of us

Happy holidays to the most kind hearted person I know. May the good Lord bless you always I loved all these messages, but this one is very special : Hello Regina. It’s being so long that we don’t chat!!! Thanks you for everything, but in special your letter. That’s more than a bonus, it’s so nice when you receive a such a complementary letter from your boss. You’re so unique. I have the best agency; my pleasure to work with a great team! Thank you a lot!!! Happy Holiday’s to you and the family.

“Who can ask for anything more?”

My sincere thanks to Nadeen , Candy, Angie, Dora, Agnes, Bridget, Karenly, Dawn and so many others. Your sincere wishes brought me to happy tears during the long hours in the car as we drove first to Florida then to Canada.

We are, as I so often say, NOTHING without our amazing caregivers.

Finally, and equally special, is the appreciation from our clients, one special client in particular:

I wanted to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all of the amazing care you gave to our family members. The level of concern, dedication and tender friendship you offered them these past months and years was truly remarkable and often above the responsibilities you held. I know I speak for everyone in the family in expressing this deep gratitude and praise for all you did to make their home-life safe and enjoyable. All of you showed incredible professionalism, but also untold amounts of care and empathy for them. We always knew they were in capable and trusting hands with you at their sides. As their needs increased you stepped up and shouldered an increasing amount of care work without hesitating and never missed a beat. Your humor and attention made their days a delight. We feel very close to you and we will keep those fond memories. We all wish that you and your families will go on to have many enjoyable times. Have a wonderful holiday and year ahead!

Thank you all for your very kind and unexpected blessings and good wishes. Together, we will have an amazing year! ■
