• Their services include. Skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational and speech language therapy Neurorehabilitation, wound care, disease and pain management, medication management and education.They maintain a special expertise in dementia care.

Most of these services can be found in any certified agency. And there are several hundred such agencies in CT.

Communication. All team members are instantly connected so they are all aware of each other’s progress toward the patient’s goals. Respectful quick communication with the patient (as text messages) alerts her/him about timing of visit and other important information.

Customer Service. Long an important standard for Always There, we seldom see customer service that rises to the level of our own company’s standards. This was the most pleasant surprise with Kindred/Gentiva. A call to the office requesting a change in clinician was met with courtesy and instant resolution. No questions asked. Amazing.

Clients and families frequently ask us about “good” facilities for short-term rehab or placement for long-term skilled care. Connecticut is fortunate to have many high quality facilities. We caution families about focusing on the “wrong” aspects.
