Featured Article: Another Sudden Loss For Our Family

By Regina McNamara

A mere six months after our family lost my brother Michael to sudden death, we have now lost our beloved brother Bill in a similar manner.

Though our pain is nearly unbearable, the prayers and wishes of our many friends and our large family have helped to ease our way.

The piece below, written so beautifully by Kelly, his niece, one of our company owners , we share with all of you today.

Thank you Kelly, and thank you Bill.

Obituary of William Fornaci

William J. Fornaci “Mr. Bill” passed away on Friday, March 25, 2016. He was 65. Born in Philadelphia, PA he was a resident of Longwood Florida before moving to Hawthorne, NJ 15 years ago. Bill was the proud, fearless leader of his family business Hafco Foundry, Inc. in Midland Park. He was the number one fan of his wife, the artist Julie Fornaci, and his sons, the “Zebros” Basil and Billy. He was the proud father-in-law of Alyssa and Katie, and the adoring grandfather of Charlotte Sage and Zoë Amelia. Mr. Bill also leaves behind siblings Regina, Diane, and Philip as he joins his late brother, Michael, in a peaceful afterlife where the food is superb, the wine flows freely, and the team they’ve bet on always wins. Mr. Bill was known to countless friends and colleagues as much for his kindness and generosity as for his candor and quick wit. (This is to say nothing of his chocolate pudding cake.)

He was someone you wanted on your side--strong, loyal, and as keen to support and protect the people he loved as he was to fend off their enemies. Mr. Bill was a force for humor and goodness and pictures of exquisite meals and sharing (only) great Italian wine, and his sudden departure leaves a gaping hole in his family and in the world. All who knew Mr. Bill will miss him terribly, his equal never to take its place among us. ■
